5:48 a.m. - The weather is just not looking very promising for Spring Break Week next week. Yuck. I have a colonoscopy on Monday...looks to be pretty good weather for that, as the forecast has got a chance of snow on Sunday. I guess we'll take Spring Break Week from work even if it feels like winter.
Yesterday went fine. As expected, Trooper Wilson was good with his presentation. Also as expected, yesterday's softball game got postponed due to cold temperatures. Unexpectedly, Tony Holtschlag contacted me about getting him through the softball umpiring promotion test, which we were able to accomplish. I did get a few training path worksheets scored, but I didn't get them all scored, which was a bit of a disappointment. My legs are still pretty tired from Sunday's hike, so I was basically just lazy with Sophie the granddog spending the night and Amber working at Shiver's. She did bring me a strawberry shake, which didn't exactly help my waistline, but it sure was good.
Today may be a repeat of yesterday, but the temps may just be warm enough to be damn cold on the softball diamond. Kassie Daly from Western Illinois University is visiting with students, and she always has a good presentation. Then I'm scheduled to be headed to Orion. Orion is supposed to be terrible, and they have a new coach. West Central should be really, really good again this season. So the focus of the afternoon will be staying warm. I do need to hustle up and get ready to go early today, so I can go vote this morning. I usually do that before school because our voting place is pretty close over at the Zion Lutheran Church.
