6:00 a.m. - I didn't sleep very well last night. Maybe I need to get some additional exercise after school to tire myself out a little. I did have fun with the Harrison grandchildren. They arrived after school and were here until about 7 p.m. I enjoy hearing them giggle, and we have fun playing. And of course, we get yelled at by Gigi about being too loud.
I did some hard crunching of numbers yesterday regarding retirement, and I've got my "window" further defined. Financially, it would make more sense for me to teach two more years until I'm sixty. The difference of retiring now or then would be about $9,000 per year. The thought of trying to make that up in some other type of employment isn't exactly appealing, but it's also not that bad. On the other hand, working one more year until I'm 59 would be about $4,500 per year - again making that up with other employment isn't appealing, but again it's doable.
I still haven't gotten a start on scoring those essays; maybe that will happen today.
