6:27 a.m. - Yesterday was good. The presenters from Black Hawk College were good, and even though the weather was cold and gray, the first softball game of the season at Rock Island went well. It went long, but it went well. That first game always has a "remembering curve" as pitch by pitch and play by play all of the "stuff" that goes into umpiring softball comes back to mind.
Today is going to be tougher. The presenter I have today has been working with me for awhile, and the information is great...he's just not very dynamic. And then I have to hustle after school to Kewanee to umpire softball, which means I'll be home a little later, but at least its Friday. I'd really like to get the camper out this weekend, but the weather doesn't look all that great. Tomorrow wouldn't be too bad, but I'm not sure of Shawn's availability. Sunday looks cold and windy, so it's out.
