7:52 a.m. - Yesterday was a good day. Getting my teeth cleaned went really well. The gal who performed the cleaning was so good. She didn't talk too much, and her technique was gentle. My teeth didn't hurt at all when I left, so it was great. I went to target after that and picked up some groceries for Amber. Then I came home and watch some more of the IHSA girls state finals. I'm trying to visualize myself there and at least "train" mentally. Later in the day, I rode with Mr. Bush and his daughter to the Rockridge game. The Rockets just got beat by a team that played better. If you are going to lose, that's the way to go. I saw a highlight from the Quincy-Normal game that was gut wrenching. Quincy was up 1 point with 4 seconds left. The inbounder made a pass that was then saved by another Quincy player, but it was saved under the basket. Normal player grabbed the ball dunked it, and the game ended with Normal winning at the horn. Now that is a terrible way to lose.
Today, no game for Brooklyn; she's sick. Amber and I are headed to the Farmer's Market to meet Karrigan and Michael. Then I don't think we have anything until tonight when we are going to Greg's birthday dinner. In between, I want to watch the 2A state championship game because Brian Rewerts is working the game, and I worked with him at Geneseo a couple of weeks ago. I'd also like to get some exercise in somehow.
Not much to report today...I hope to have a quiet, nice day. I got all my schoolwork done the past two days on my "sick days", so that's good.
