8:15 a.m. - No school again today...that winter storm we had that started Monday night was a whopper. I just got the driveway cleared again...much different clearing job today than yesterday. It's much colder, and the there is no wind, and the snow wasn't near as deep nor near as heavy. So what else does the day hold today? There could be grandchildren; there could be basketball officiating later tonight; there could be assisting with a food delivery at the school since apparently our maintenance staff doesn't work on snow days, or maybe none of those things will happen. Who is to know?
This morning now that the driveway is cleared I'm going to get ready for the day. After the roads clear a little I need to get some prescriptions in Milan, and while I'm out and about, a little more ice melt wouldn't hurt and maybe some birdseed. Oh, maybe a haircut would work out today too and an oil change for the car.
We have now used up all of our emergency days for the school year since we have now had three closed days for heat at the beginning of the year and now two snow days.
I know one thing...my body hurts from all of yesterday's activity and now again from this morning's shoveling efforts.
