5:18 a.m. - Yesterday I was able to get a lot of stuff done for school to get ready for Monday. Fortunately, there weren't any professional development activities. I know that sounds terrible, and I'm honestly not above receiving professional development, but at my age most of what we experience is just not very useful. And then last night we went to Sherrard, and we had a pleasant night of officiating - short drive, boys games, nice facility, etc... We did stop by a tavern in Reynolds for a beer (maybe two) for Shawn's birthday.
Today we are hustling. We have an 11 a.m. start at United for FS and then Varsity girls; then we have to get into Wharton Fieldhouse and work a game at Moline. Game time start is supposed to be 3:15 p.m., so we will be arriving "hot". Marcus doesn't think we are going to make it. Mapquest says it's an hour and seven minute drive...it's going to be close.
I'm not sure what the evening holds; there's a good chance that we will have grandchildren and/or granddogs at our house, but I don't know anything official.
