7:32 a.m. - Yesterday I went to Uncle Bill's birthday party at Brookstone. It was just a little pizza party, but he seemed to appreciate it. He turned 68 years old, and all of his brothers and sisters were there. So there I am in an assisted living center with all of the people I remember growing up with on my mom's side of the family thinking about how quickly time goes by. Now as I'm thinking about it, I should have gotten all them together with a picture. I think my Grandpa John and Grandma Sara would have appreciated that.
Last night's games at West Central went okay. Jason fell during the varsity game. Well, he didn't really fall on his own; he tried to get out of the way of a ball coming at him and just lost his balance. It was a pretty good one, and all of the players rushed to him to help him up. At least now, I'm not the only one who hits the deck during a basketball game. For me it was good to get back on the court; then again, it was a struggle to get back on the court.
Today, I take a night off from officiating to go visit with Carmen and Tyler. I'm picking Cole up at 3:00 p.m. and we are headed that way. Carmen just sent me a message that she's still "puking everywhere" and now her face looks like a dalmatian from "busted blood vessels".
