5:21 a.m. - We are headed to school today, but not for long. Another big winter storm is supposed to hit late tonight, and snow will be with us all day tomorrow - amounts being forecasted as 8-12 inches...sheesh.
Yesterday was at least a productive snow day. I did make it into Milan and picked up a prescription and some ice melt for the next wave of snowy weather. I also made it to get a haircut at Great Clips in Rock Island, and while I was close by, I managed to get the oil changed at that shop next door to Great Clips. I also filled up the gas tank in the HHR on the way home. When I got home Rosie and Tucker were here, so we spent a little time watching "the bears", and then later in the afternoon we went and played in the snow. Rosie wasn't a huge fan, but Tucker and I did a little playing and also sledded a little just down our front hill with the help of the Bakers' sled.
So today, I think I'm just going to keep the lesson plan simple and get the students doing something, even though I'm not going to see them until next Tuesday. I don't yet have any officiating tonight, but that may change. If it doesn't change, I'm scheduled to go to a facility meeting for the district.
