7:02 a.m. - Another snowstorm is here. After completing this little entry, I'll be headed outside for some shoveling detail. Yesterday I did manage to get a little school work completed - some little odds-and-ends and started the background material for the next instructional unit with the English III sections. After school, I had expected to have some supper and then attend a facilitation meeting from 6-8 p.m. at the high school meeting. Then at about 5:20, I got a call from Marcus that an official didn't show at the junior high boys basketball game. So with a full belly (not a good thing), I hustled over to the school and worked the game.
I must be getting grumpy in my old age, as I dished out a technical foul in the seventh grade game and another one in the eighth grade game. It's possible my patience level for unsporting conduct from children may be decreasing. Rockridge won the first game and lost the second game. I was a bit surprised at how low scoring both games went. After the games I just came back home and watched Illinois play Michigan State. The Illini ended up winning but I fell asleep on the couch with a few minutes left.
So today....blizzard warning. Tonight's scheduled games at West Central have been cancelled; no word yet on tomorrow's games at Orion, but I expect those to get cancelled too. All these cancellations is cutting into my wallet. And then after this round of blizzard weather, we are supposed to have stupid cold temperatures. That means we may not be having school next Tuesday as well...sheesh.
I think I'm going to get some exercise somehow today, in addition to shoveling snow, and then I'm going to read my book. I hope that's all I need to do. I fear that old generator may come into use yet this weekend.
