Tuesday, December 22

7:57 a.m. - Today's the day...finally.  I'm really sore from that long walk at Loud Thunder yesterday, but that's okay.  Last night we saw the Christmas Star, which was kind of neat...it just showed up in the southwestern sky all by itself just before dark.  It was a least one neat thing because colonoscopy prep started at 1:00 p.m. and that prepwork just isn't much fun.  I'm definitely tired today and not eating and taking overdoses of laxatives sure can cause a person to lose body weight, even if most the body weight is water.  It will be nice to get today over and be back home and have some solid food.  My procedure is at 1 p.m. today, but I have to be there by noon.  I'll take my book and relax and just let the professionals do their thing.  I just hope that it gets done today.  Three years ago when I arrived I discovered a pipe had burst or clogged or something which caused the procedure to be delayed a day, so I had to go back home and fast again for another 24 hours.
