5:24 a.m. - Happy Birthday Knox Hayes Southwell! Yesterday Pat and Kourtney brought baby boy Knox into our world in the afternoon. I'm not supposed to say a lot yet because I don't think the official online "press-release" has been posted in social medial land, but I think it's safe to at least say that much. Around that special event, I got three-of-four sections of semester exams pushed out and taken, and then I wrapped up the night in Clinton with some softball umpiring - final combined score of the JV double-header -- Clinton 1, Pleasant Valley 40.
Moving on to today. I've got one more section of semester exams to start the day, and then I'll be working on scoring exams for the remainder of the day, finalizing grades, completing paperwork, and getting the room ready for summer. And then I'm off to Davenport North for another JV softball double-header that I'm guessing will again set the world on fire.
In national news, Former President Trump's hush money trial had closing arguments. The judge will give the jury instructions, and then the jury will start deliberations. I'd be surprised if he's found guilty. My guess is that there will be at least one person that will hold out.
The weather is looking favorable for camping this weekend, and I stopped by the Summit Campground on my way back home last night, and the campground is open. I'm hoping to get the camper over there tomorrow night.
