7:01 a.m. - I already got up this morning and completed a couple of tasks off the lists today. I went out and spread the weed-and-feed in the front yard, and I completed a couple of lesson plans. Oh, I still have a lot to do, but at least it's a start. And yesterday I got a lot done too!
Yesterday started the day with a shovel. That's usually a bad way to start a day, but I was able to get done what I wanted to get done. Next up was some weed wacking and mowing, which also got accomplished. It was too windy to work on the pool, so I postponed that task until today. In the afternoon we headed to Tucker's birthday party, as he turns five. Then after returning home it was TV and bed. One other thing I decided yesterday was to go ahead and accept the umpiring at the Moline Regional that I was assigned. I don't want to, I won't enjoy it, but I usually try to go through my life honoring commitments I make, and that's a commitment I made. It's true that I feel bitter, and I believe that once again the IHSA has been pretty unkind to me, but to fail to honor my commitment makes me as bad as them, and I don't want to be as bad as them.
Today there is more yardwork to be done, and then I'm sure we are headed to some Mother's Day visits.
