7:52 a.m. - We made it through a Friday with the last day of seniors. Actually, the day was pretty quiet. Instead of camping this weekend, I've made it a work weekend. After school I worked on the motorized sickle, and I was able to get it running and wacked some weeds. The backyard has never has so much water...whatever Brandon has done next door to his yard has definitely had an impact on our yard. Now I'm not sure what to do. Today, I think I'm going to take a shovel out and do some digging. After weed wacking with the sickle, I went to mom and dad's and helped mom with some projects. I got the garden tilled with that poor old piece of small engine machinery that was once a rototiller; that was the big accomplishment to make.
Today is another work day. Dig, mow, and maybe try to kill some weeds. I already got a couple of things done on the computer. Renewed my license plate stickers for the GMC and HHR online, and I regretfully accepted the umpiring dates at the Moline Regional. I just need to get over the embarrassment, shame, and frustration and honor my availability that I committed to. It sucks....it's wrong...the system needs fixed...but I'm just a pawn and number and need to accept that. I think later today we have Tucker's birthday party to go to. I know I don't have much on hand cash. Right now, I'm broke; I guess working on the yard is the right thing to do now.
