6:00 a.m. - A lot happened yesterday. One good thing that did not happen was umpiring softball at Orion. I could use the money, and I'm not sure why it was postponed, but I took advantage of the extra time after school. I worked on wacking some weeds in the backyard, and I went after some campfire firewood. I was able to do that because I got my truck back from Slayden's for the exhaust manifold project. That wasn't cheap, and I'm now officially poor. I'm not going to let my current terrible financial shape, though, dampen my day today. The weather forecast appears to be helpful with what I hope will be a nice, simple, quiet, relaxing weekend at the ole Loud Thunder campground. This is a day that I want the the students to behave, be quiet, be productive, and then get the heck out. Of course, that includes the students that will be showing up, which seems to be a big question mark this time of year. Oh, and I received a softball postseason assignment last night. It's not exactly what I hoped for, but it's okay. And I almost forgot...I went to the RHS production of the Wizard of Oz. I really enjoyed seeing the students exhibiting their talents; it was a lot of fun.
