So I wrote about Limburger last post, but I'll continue the cheese thing here on this post. I love cheese, which doesn't really help my effort to stay healthy. I love swiss cheese, mozzarella, colby, colby jack, longhorn. I love cheese on pizza - lots of cheese. I love macaroni and cheese even if it's Kraft processed cheese. Cheese, cheese, cheese! I even enjoy eating cottage cheese. Wait, I do have to tell you about the best cheese curds ever. It was actually in a different town when we were on that same camping trip, and we toured a cheese business that looked much like the one you saw on that news report. We were going to buy some cheese anyway, but the sales clerk said they were just about ready to bring out a fresh batch of cheese curds. OH MY GOODNESS. These cheese curds were still warm and when you sunk your teeth into them, all of that wonderful warm cheese goodness actually squeaked like crazy. Of course we bought some cheese curds from there, but after the cheese curds cool and eventually are refrigerated, they just don't taste quite as good. And fried cheese curds are great, especially from Culver's which is my favorite, but dang are they expensive.
Okay, so what other types of cheeses...hmm...you know during the holidays when there are all kinds of platters and trays with different kinds of cheeses? Those are great. And I would really like to be a conossour of cheese, like at the HyVee deli with those big blocks of cheese. And when we watch the Food Network, they are always using different kinds of cheese that I would enjoy exploring. Well that's my cheese adventure for the day.
