6:20 a.m. - Yesterday I was able to check out student blog posts and also stalk the essays of second and seventh periods. Mrs. Mitola has done an outstanding job of helping students learn how to recognize rhetorical devices and other stylistic elements writers use to influence readers, but unfortunately many students have not yet even started the essay. I hope they hit the gas today and tomorrow, as I think the assignment is due tomorrow night. Yesterday, I also got in a good physical workout - the first in quite awhile. During the pre-game of the Bears game, I got in a stretch. Then I watched the Bears game as I got in a jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Then I proceeded to try to do some light strength training with the dumbbells I have. Then at halftime, I slipped in the disc for an ab workout. Then for the second half of the game I went upstairs and sat in the recliner for a Bears win. After the game, Amber and I were invited over to her parents for supper. Then after that I went to the casino and donated more money to Jumer's. I don't seem to every win there, yet I still go every once in awhile because I do enjoy the atmosphere. Today, the weather is going to be crappy again, and it looks like the "nice weather" days may be behind us for while. I'm still holding out hope for one more camping weekend, so I'm keeping an eye on the weather; otherwise, I'm going to have to winterize it and put it in storage for the winter.

Prayer for My Heart
Holy Spirit...
Help me have...
