6:34 a.m. - Just keep swimming.  It's a dreary day outside.  Today I had the opportunity to help Mrs. Mitola with her classes.  She wanted to have a brief conference with each student, which meant I would be front and center to offer assistance to students working on their assignments, especially their essays.   Do you know how many students asked me a question?  NONE.  I know everything is suppose to be better after November 3, and I know everything will be even better than that beginning with November 9.  The apathy and energy from students is a battle, and I don't know that it's going to get better anytime soon.  I know many folks will want to pin it on the pandemic, but this apathy existed prior to the pandemic.

Things that I NOW think about with the coronavirus. (10/20)

Governor Pritzker has announced enhanced restrictions in another area of the state due to COVID 19 cases rising again...and we are supposed to be able to start playing basketball in another month?  51 new reported cases in Rock Island County today...ugh.  Hospitalizations have slightly increased...I hope they don't go above 500 this week.  (Remember, a month ago, hospitalizations were at 329)
