Tuesday, Sept. 22

4:38 a.m - Yesterday was a Monday.  But first....

I'm tired of the rain...have I said that recently?  It's still going to be raining today!  Even more than that, I'm tired of political ads.  November can't be here soon enough.  What could be possibly do with the millions of dollars spent on stupid, exaggerated negative political ads.

Now back to yesterday's Monday.  There was a lot to do.  I worked on a script for a teacher's evaluation.  (I have another observation today.)  I knocked some things off of the to-do list.  And .... I...met...with the ROE folks about their new Attendance Support Services efforts.  Actually, Mr. Bush was there too.  Unfortunately, there wasn't anything new that was presented.  I'd really like to say it was a productive meeting, but it was 45 minutes of "same old, same old".  I think, though, I can at least say that I tried.  Mr. Bush and other RR admin can now pick up the ball and do their best.  For me, my confidence still is low when it comes to the ROE supporting any truancy situations.  I'll just do my best.  This is my personal approach.  My public approach will quiet and reserved.  But that meeting and that day wasn't all!  I also had a parent information night at Illinois City Elementary.  I really thought no one was going to show, but there were parents of five students, so we had about an hour to take a tour of the building, talk a little about Mission Control and the new curriculums and take questions that popped up.  It was nice, and I felt good about it.  Of course, I wish more parents would have attended, but at least there was an opportunity offered.

Today...it will be another busy day.  It's hat day...I think I'll go with my boots and cowboy hat today!  I also have a volleyball match tonight at UT.  Just keep swimming....one day closer to retirement.

• periodically add to the RR group history report
• periodically check on mail at post office
• update attendance each week in SDS
• send any IEP notices to Mrs. Saey

• get stuff together to send out insurance stuff for reimbursement
• mailed stuff out on 8/29/26 - expecting $2,500 back
• get money back!
• fix a hood light switch for the Ford
