4:45 a.m. - It's raining.  We haven't had rain in awhile, so maybe this will cool things off for good for 2026.  

Yesterday, the last thing I did with my day was to try to burn off some of the dead grass in the backyard before all the rain.  And that effort was after getting home from some junior high volleyball.  I worked by myself, which is doable, but it's still a long night.  And the gym at Edison was plenty warm.  And all the officiating was after a 1:30 dismissal at school, but the day seemed to go better than expected.  The students seemed okay with their return; I didn't see any tears.  We'll see if that continues as the week winds down.

And today...I have the first student council meeting and mentor meetings and I'll try to get other stuff done too.  Oh, and we have our first Mission Control sessions.  So today is an important day.  Plus, we are trying to get MAP testing done.   Tonight, I don't have officiating, so I'll be able to get home and watch the first game of the NFL season.   

 Things to do for School

  • get display project completed
    • finalize placement of schools on district map
  • periodically add to the RR group history report
  • periodically check on mail at post office
  • update attendance each week in SDS
  • send any IEP notices to Mrs. Saey

OTHER THINGS

  • get stuff together to send out insurance stuff for reimbursement
    • mailed stuff out on 8/29/26 - expecting $2,500 back
    • get money back!
  • RV guy shows up Saturday
  • get something scheduled to have camper fixed
  • spray Creeping Charlie - sprayed edges of yard on 9/6 -- near pool, between landscaping and ditch, between fence and Bob's, outside of south fence.
  • a hood light switch for the Ford
  • Nov. 5 - 10 a.m. - Milan Optical
  • Dec. 1 - 7:45 Hussain Moline
