Saturday, September 5

4:48 a.m. - My goodness, what a good day I had yesterday.

• Watched 2 episodes of Ted Lasso from Season 4 - my thinking show
• Watched the sunrise over my well-trimmed backyard while in the hot tub - soaked for an entire cycle.
• Took the garbage and recycle to the curb because it was Friday garbage pick-up day.
• Walked for an hour in quiet and solitude in the woods at Loud Thunder - South Sac Fox trail between the ranger station and the horse corral campground.  The knee felt good and the leg needs that kind of workout.
• Finished up a little work at the office and survived and impromptu zoom admin meeting.
• Drove to Aledo and picked up some Sthil weed wacker blades and did some grocery shopping at Mercer Market.
• Read some of my book and found something I had been looking for - avoid the C's (7) - chocolate, candy, cake, chips, cola, cookies, and complaining. 
•  Talked with Carmen about visiting (tomorrow/today), and found out that Caleb had stood on top of the table and dumped out a salt container - oh parenting! '
• Heard from Slayden's that the Escape was ready - still needs tires, but that can be done later.  Got an oil change, the spare tire removed and placed in the back, (the lowering mechanism was messed up, and I'm not going to replace it) and got it aligned.  
• Used the truck (with the bike rack on it) to go get the Escape, brought the Escape back and then later rode my bike to go get the truck.  (The Escape repair cost less that $200, which I was really happy about.)
• Got some positive results from playing slots at the gas station in Andalusia.
• Went for stuffed pizza at Antonellas II where Chase works.  It was a Friday night, so he was busy, but I still got to talk with him for a bit. 
• Had another positive outcome playing slots in Edgington too!
• Talked with Cole - he's doing well.  He's now working five days a week delivering for Amazon, and his movie project seems to to be going well.  
• Watched a little news and went to bed.
• THAT WAS A DAY!

So today, I'm headed to Fort Madison to spend some time with Caleb.  I need to be there by nine, so I'm hoping to leave here by 7 a.m.  I hope today is half the day as yesterday!  If that's the case, today will be a good day.

• get display project completed
• finalize placement of schools on district map
• periodically add to the RR group history report
• periodically check on mail at post office
• update attendance each week in SDS
• send any IEP notices to Mrs. Saey

OTHER THINGS

• get stuff together to send out insurance stuff for reimbursement
• mailed stuff out on 8/29/26 - expecting $2,500 back
• get money back!
• get correct measurement of the correct wiper slide material
• order slide wiper conditioner
• spray Creeping Charlie
• a hood light switch for the Ford
