4:47 a.m. - And that's a wrap on the junior high softball summer season.  It was a brief season, with only five dates, but it was good for my legs, and the extra little cash helped too.  Also yesterday, I had a check-up appointment with Dr. Hussein.  The knee is doing about as well as could be expected.  He said I was once again a little ahead of schedule with recovery, which was nice to hear.  I got in and out of the appointment fast enough that I was able to stop a Great Clips and get a hair cut.  Then on the way back to school, I stoppped at Dollar General and got some coffee and chocolate for the staff at school.  

Softball being done this week for me worked out well; Kevin Phelps is saying that the heat is returning next week with feels like temps near 100 degrees.  My guess is that we will be having a 1:30 dismissal on Monday and maybe Tuesday too.  

Today is Friday...finally.  And it's a pay day I think.  And it's a kick-off assembly day today, too.  And then after school, I think Amber and I are headed to the casino for a little date night.  I hope today goes smoothly....so far the student issues have been very minimal, and I hope that keeps up.  When I went to my appointment yesterday, I had a more relaxed feeling coming back to school.  Last year, I felt compelled to hurry back from appointments or meetings because I was confident some type of student crisis would be waiting for me.

• periodically check on mail at post office
• update attendance each week in SDS
• send any IEP notices to Mrs. Saey

• get stuff together to send out insurance stuff for reimbursement
• get correct measurement of the correct wiper slide material
• order slide wiper conditioner
• spray Creeping Charlie
• a hood light switch for the Ford
