6:07 a.m. - Yesterday, we were up and out of the hotel fairly early after making another attempt in the casino - an unsuccessful attempt. We said goodbye to the Harrisons and headed back east to the homestead. The rest of the day was quiet, as the weather outside wasn't very good, and we didn't have any visitors. We watched a good movie, and then I also watched the Blues Brothers.
Today the weather has cleared. The forecast looks pretty decent for early August. It's Grandma Rhonda's birthday today, so I think later today we are having a little celebration for her. After watching the Today Show, I think I'll get in a little exercise. Maybe I'll break out the softball equipment and load up the Escape in preparation for my first game later in the week. The seven-day outlook is showing highs in the mid-80's and low's in the 60's - not too bad! Maybe I can make some progress on the weeds around the house.
