5:40 p.m. - It's been a long day, and it's been a long, long Thanksgiving weekend, but it's been an eventful weekend.
Today was driveway snow removal #4, but Tyler gave me some help this time. Then it was off to the farm to do morning chores. Then it was back to spend time with the Hoenigs before they left for the day. I miss them already. Of course, after they left, the new bed we purchased arrived about 30 minutes later. Amber and I managed to get it downstairs, and now we will be better prepared for the next time.
Then I watched a few episodes of Stranger Things with Amber. Then it was off to the farm to do evening chores, clear their driveway of snow, clean stalls, get hay down, put more grain in the can, and have everything ready for tomorrow. I really concerned that my mom is no longer going to be the strong farm woman I've always known her to be. I just think it's all going to be too hard for her - too scary. The cold weather, the snowy and icy path to the barn, and all the energy it takes to do those things. I just see it in her eyes and emotions...I just think she's entering a new chapter of her life, and I'm going to have to help more. I can do it, but it's going to take some planning and effort on my part too.
I need a good day tomorrow. It was so wonderful having Carmen and Tyler and Caleb here. I just would like the day after to not be horrible. Plus, I have a game in Prophetstown, and the forecast is calling for more snow. Sheesh...wasn't nine inches enough?
