7:21 a.m. - It's pull out day...I'm not a fan of pull out day. This weekend truly has been a great camping weather weekend, though. The best way I can describe the weather is by sharing that I put our awning out on Thursday afternoon, and I have yet to bring it in. Normally, a storm or wind or something comes up to force the awning to be retracted at least some time during a camping outing.
Yesterday was a mix (hodge podge) day. In the morning I needed to make a run for more firewood and stopped along the way at Dollar General for a couple of things and stopped at the house to do a little work with the pool. Then it was back to the campground, but there I did a little work. I tried to clean the worn out rubber from the wiper seals that are giving me some trouble, and I cleaned off the nose of the trailer from grime and bug guts. (By the way, I've determined that I'm not going to attempt to replace the wiper slide out seals...I'm going to try those guys from Orion and get an estimate on a roof reseal. Looking on YouTube, that wiper seal job looks like more than I want to try to accomplish, and I don't have an inside garage that I can put the camper in while I try to figure out how to do the seal job. After the work on the camper, Amber took me on her bus route again - I'm no looking forward to being a substitute bus driver. Then it was back to the campground for a little relaxation before the party for Grandma Rhonda. There were burgers and hot dogs and potato salad and baked beans and cake and other stuff. Rhonda, Jack, Kourtney, Tucker, Rosie, Knox, my brother and my mom. Lots of food and then campfire time. And after all that, I watched me some Batman and Superman on MeTV!
Today? Pull out is not going to be quick. In fact, I think I'll be making trip one with bikes and other stuff, and then I'll come back for the trailer. And then when I get the trailer deposited, I think I will be mowing the yard. Yes, it's going to be a busy day.
