4:39 a.m. - It's early, but now-a-days my days are starting earlier and ending later. And now it's starting to look more and more that my new schedule of not only doing what I can with Amber to take care of our home is going to turn into needing to take care of my parents and their home. Dad has pretty much been home bound for a few years now, but mom has not, until now. This most recent illness she had which knocked her down for about a week has really taken a mental toll on her. I don't know if it was missing Thanksgiving or now having to miss Kaylee's wedding, but her whole personality has just plummeted. Yesterday she canceled a community friend visit at ICE that isn't scheduled until next Tuesday. Last night she asked me to bring the garbage cans inside the garage, so she could throw garbage away. It's like she's afraid or unwilling to even set foot outside of her house. I was going to send Darren a message last night to let him know, but I think I'll wait until he is able to enjoy Kaylee's wedding. In the meantime, I'm spending an hour in the morning and at least a half hour at night tending to things. And if it snows, I'm also clearing snow, even though I think she found a new snow plow guy, which was nice except I had to dig out the sliding door to the barn. What I'm doing really isn't difficult; it's just that I have to do it early in the morning before school and late at night after basketball games. Being on the go from basically 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. or later is a long, long day.
Today....I have a student council meeting, and then the day is fairly clear except for some assistance of hanging some Christmas decorations at school.
