10:03 a.m. - Yesterday was busy, but it was also okay. I started the day being able to sleep in a little, which was nice. Then I went to the farm, and my mom was in the barn working - a sight for sore eyes. We talked a bit, and she seems to be gaining more and more strength and confidence and returning to her old self. It was nice to see the sparkle of life back in her eyes.
Then it was back home to relax a bit before going to the wedding in Galesburg. We grabbed some lunch at Pizza Ranch and got to the Holiday Express just before 3 p.m. I took a quick cat nap there and then it was off to the wedding. It was a very pretty wedding, and we looked after the Harrison grandchildren for a bit while Kenzie and Darrin were with the wedding party. The reception was nice, and Darrin gave a great toast for his brother Jake and Shelby. He said he was really nervous, but he didn't seem nervous. We got back to the hotel around 8:30, and I tried to watch some basketball and football, but I was really tired. I still am trying to recover from being sleep deprived all week.
This morning I woke up around 7:30 a.m., but I'm still feeling really, really tired. We got some breakfast in the hotel lobby, and then we headed back home with the Harrison grandkids. There wasn't much snow at all in Galesburg where we were at, but upon arriving home, we had a good 2-3 inches on the driveway. I started shoveling, but neighbor Brandon came over and helped me make quick work of the job. And now I just need to get to my parents's house this morning and check in on them and shovel some snow and get back home and try to get some more sleep and relax. I hope that includes some hot tub time and some time to watch the Bears and the Packers.
