6:55 a.m. - Yesterday's 2-4 inch forecast of snow....it was much more than that. I'm guessing it was double that. What I thought was going to be a simple snow clearing effort turned into a big snow clearing effort. And now today....burr....the temps are below zero. And later this week, they are calling for a high temperature of 44 degrees. That's just crazy.
Yesterday, when I thought we were going to get a little snow, I went down to Andalusia to get a Powerball ticket (we didn't win). Then I went up to help mom do chores and check on her and dad. After that I went to Milan and found that the oil change shop was open. I also picked up some ice melt, a snow scraper, and a bit of eggnog. Getting out and back was a little challenging, but the HHR made it through all the snow.
Today the church service Christmas program was canceled due to the cold, but we have Kollyns's birthday party to attend at noon. That will take time out of the Bears game I would otherwise watch, but that's okay. I may have to get outside and clear the driveway of blowing snow again. I don't know what the rest of the day will bring.
I reviewed my results from Thursday's physical, and nothing is out of line. If everything continue to goes well, I should survive another year.
