5:38 a.m. - So now Christmas Break can begin. Yesterday's feature was a game at the A-Town shootout between Sherrard and Routt. It was a great game with two great teams. Of course Coach Johnson from Sherrard provided the kiss of death. Late in the third quarter or maybe early in the fourth quarter, we were coming out of a timeout and he said I was doing a really good job. A few minutes later, he was screaming at me that we were doing a terrible job and had changed the way we had called the whole game. Of course, Sherrard was losing, and that had something to do with it. It's okay...I love how Alex coaches, and he's done a great job with the program. Those situations aren't unusual.
But there was another highlight! The Bears stole a football game from Green Bay last night. Green Bay should have won. The Packers were down their starting quarterback and their best defender. The Bears hadn't scored a touchdown all game. They had to successfully execute an onside kick and then get a touchdown in the closing seconds to force overtime, and then they won in overtime in an amazing pass and catch between Williams and Moore. It was incredible.
And on to today...which is going to be a busy one. I'm going to church to watch the children's C Christmas program. Plus, I think we are going to the casino. Plus, I need to do get to mom and dad's. Plus, I need to start Christmas shopping. But I don't have to worry about school - students, staff, subs, parents, curriculum, building problems, or anything!
