5:58 a.m. - Winter has returned, and snow is supposed to fall all day today and perhaps into tomorrow. I had hoped that warmer temperatures would be in the forecast for the weekend, but colder temperatures are now in the forecast. I guess we will be taking the cold weather gear with us to the campground, or perhaps we need to consider postponing our opening weekend adventure. I'll have to keep an eye on the forecast.
Back-to-school day yesterday went okay. The rep from Muscatine Community College was good. She wasn't very dynamic, but the presentation was very informative and included information that was new. Unfortunately the students didn't show much appreciation, but I'd be lying if I said I was surprised about that. Today a substitute rep is supposed to be visiting us, as I received a message last week that someone else would be replacing the rep I had scheduled. It's always a bit of an adventure when a new rep visits. I have to evaluate quickly whether the rep will need my assistance or can pretty much just go with it. Also today, I was scheduled to work some softball, but also today with snow showers, there will be yet another cancellation. I imagine the spring sport athletes are getting very tired of practicing indoors with all of this crazy cold and wet weather we have experienced recently.
