6:05 a.m. - Yesterday was a battle at school with students to have them work on their presentation projects in class and make progress. Apparently for some students, that's just too difficult? One student even stopped by during lunch to express his confusion. He even asked why it's so important to work in class if the student gets the assignment in class. I told him that I can offer suggestions and help steer clear of mistakes. Plus, I informed him that when future employers make requests, they will want to see progress during the work day - not whenever their employees want to get to it. After journal write today, the battle continue. Just spending time working on an assignment in class...you'd think I was requesting that all of them sacrifice a pint of blood.
After school, I attempted to take the camper over to West Lake Park early because for some reason my softball game at United Township was cancelled. I was a little irked about this, but the time was utilized to get over to the campground a night early. And in the end, that was a good thing because I probably wouldn't have gotten a site if I tried to go over there today after school. There is a lot of construction going on, so there are a limited number of sites. And even getting a site last night was a process. The spot wasn't easy to back into, and my leveling job didn't turn out very good. I guess we'll just go with it. At least I have a site, and I can just go to the camper tonight without having to set up much.
