Sunday, April 21

11:32 a.m. - I wouldn't say that our weekend adventure at Loud Thunder was a great camping weekend.  In fact, it was pretty much like all of last week...a challenge.  We battled the challenges, though, like wind and cold, and we made the most of the situation.  Amber and I enjoyed our time together, and we did camping things - campfire, Blackstone cooking, grandchildren spending the night, playground visit, trail run, hot shower in the bathhouse, etc...  To be honest, I enjoyed it, and I always enjoy being at the campground...just may have used some extra propane for the furnace, and may have spent a little more time in the camper than usual.

Today, I took my time getting the camper cleaned up and packed up and returned home.  Now I need to work on the yard and possibly the pool if the weather is nice.  I'd like to spray weeds, but the wind apparently isn't going to cooperate.  My legs and back are really tired and sore and achy, so a trip out to the good old hot tub may be on the agenda after the yard gets done.  I'm still pretty proud of myself for completing the 13 mile trail hike at Loud Thunder.  I pretty much walked all of it, and I didn't finish last, but I was close to last.  It still felt good to be out there.  I use to be pretty good at that trail running stuff; now, I participate.
