5:48 a.m. - Well, last night wasn't exactly quiet.  The Harrison family (minus Darrin) was here, then Amber and I went to eat, and then she had something to return to Kohl's.  I found out that Cole was going to be staying with us this weekend, since we are umpiring together all weekend.  He got in after midnight, well after I had gone to bed.  But since we also have Sophie, I let her go outside around that time until he got in.  I knew I would wake up when Sophie announced his arrival anyway, so letting her outside just before he arrived made sense.

A long day of umpiring is in front of us.  Weather looks okay, so that's good.  I think I'm going to organize my car a little more and maybe make a little cooler of some sandwiches and snacks and sodas.  We have a little break between games four and five when we travel to a different location.  We could get some food then if we need too.  I think we start out with high school age at Davenport West complex, and then I think we have younger teams when we get over to Crow Creek.  I checked out the events, and it pretty much looks like local teams.  I get to spend the day with Cole as a partner, so that's the bright spot.
