7:55 a.m. - It's "back-to-school eve". Ugh. There are things I want to do, things I need to do, and things I must do. What I would really like to do are only the things I want to do. Yesterday, was busy for most of the day...having Easter morning with breakfast and an egg hunt and a birthday celebration with Brinley and Brooklyn and Tucker (and Luke) lasted until about 11:30 a.m. Then I quickly made my mashed potatoes and we headed to my parents where we were finally able to have a holiday gathering. Plus my children visited, so I was able to see them. We returned home about 4:30 p.m., and at that point I worked on some outside things that I had been hoping to get to the whole week - getting some things out of the storage shed and working on the little garden plot and flower bed. I ended the evening by watching a couple of shows - 13th - a documentary that illustrated a view of black history in the United States and Soul - an animated movie that I had been interested in seeing for while. I really enjoyed both shows even though the one in each was much different.
So today. I'm here now; I would like to exercise; I would like to get a little yard work done; I would like to get the most essential schoolwork done; and I would like to finish the day watching the men's NCAA championship game.
3:49 p.m. - I haven't "officially" exercised yet, but using the push more to mow the yard likely could be considered exercise. I needed to get the yard mowed, and I had to get seating charts created and tomorrow's lesson plan done. I did also get a couple of other school things done, and I renewed my teaching certificate, which was surprisingly easy. I guess when you have been teaching as long as I have, the State of Illinois just trusts the renewal process and wants its money. This has probably been the most productive day of Spring Break...I guess warmer temps are better late than never.
