Saturday, June 12

6:09 a.m. - Yesterday was a good old-fashioned pool day.  Lots of people; lots of sun; lots of heat.  We did shut it down sort of quickly around 3 p.m. because it looked like storms were moving in, but we never got any storms.  After shutting down the pool, we had the grand children and step children with us.  Then we went down to Kourtney's to take her a few things.  I ended up my Friday night in bed early reading my book.  Today is going to feature a hectic and fluid schedule again...I have a couple of games to umpire this morning in Muscatine; apparently we are headed to Kenzie's tonight to watch grandkids; and in between may be a lunch with Greg and Georgia or graduation parties or who knows?

• Sat., 6/12 - at Muscatine  - 9 a.m. - 2 games - Diamond 5
• waiting on IEA statement to  make final dues payment
• Schedule GMC to be fixed when part comes in
• get I-Pass account set up for vacation
• fix the license plate on the GMC (again)
• Continue working with TK to organize financial management things
• talk to TRS about whether or not to buy back years
• contact contractor for pricing - fix the green door, west basement windows, west basement door, and under the deck

Friday, June 11

6:41 a.m. - Last night's game went well...had a weird play involving interference by an assistant coach outside of the dugout, but I think we got it right.  Today is supposed to be a "day off", but it won't be.  There will be many folks (big and little) to swim in the pool and extra dogs.  It's basically going to be a mad house.  I need to get some chlorine in the pool and get a swim in this morning.  Tomorrow it's back to umpiring.

Thursday, June 10

6:25 a.m. - I still need to get the garbage out, but the birds are fed, the pool filter motor is on, the kitty litter is cleaned, and I've had a cup of coffee and seen the weather forecast on KWQC...the start of another great morning.  Yesterday was busy.  I did purchase the diving board and had the pool cover inspected.  The bad news was that the diving board is over $600; the good news was that the pool cover appears to have some years left in it.  I then went to my parents house to help them trim their bushes and trim their trees.  My mom had had the flu really bad recently, and I had a chance to talk with her and she was getting up and around, so that was good to see.  After working on their yard, it was off to my yard.  I got our yard mowed and the trim mowed, which was a pretty good workout in the middle of the day.  After that, Amber and I went to the casino with Jack and Rhonda, where we had some supper and then played some slots.  I walked out only losing $20, which was really good for me.  Then I came home and iced my back and read my book for awhile.  Today, I'm going to try to get a little exercise in the pool this morning, but my "physical tasks" got done yesterday.  I may try to go ahead and accomplish a few things that are on my list that I can get done, like getting the I-pass, talking with TRS, and trying to contact a contractor about some price quotes.  I think I may also go shopping for a pair of sandals.
