4:42 a.m. - Yesterday was a Monday. We got through it. Unfortunately, Sophie the granddog became sick again, and Karrigan made the decision to put her down. I felt the gut punch, even though I wasn't there. Sophie was a great dog, and it wasn't too long ago that we were going on morning walks together. I feel bad for Karrigan. That's the second of their three dogs that they have lost this Fall. Last night I just waited for Amber to get home, so she could talk about it. Then it was a quiet night of watching football and going to bed.
And on to today. I'm driving Amber's route today, to prepare for taking over for her route as a substitute beginning next week. And then we will get through the school day, and I'll drive the afternoon route. I hope a sub is found soon. The ROE is visiting the school today to give the employee of the month award, and I'm sure the rest of the day will provide some activity.
