Thursday, October 15 - Nice to see pay day.

4:55 a.m. - Yesterday was a long, tiring day after not getting very good sleep.  I had hoped my legs were going to feel better at the junior high basketball game I worked, but they didn't feel very good.  They felt too heavy, and that's because I'm too heavy.  I've been saying that for so long.  

The rest of the day was just long.  There was a staff member that had to go home, so I covered her recess and lunch recess duty.  Then I got a few more things done before leaving for the day.  Tucker and Kourtney visited Mrs. Hall today in the building, and I think they had a good visit.  I think the Southwells are scheduled to fly home tomorrow morning, but I think they have had a busy, enjoyable trip.   

And today the rains return, and I have volleyball tonight...just keep swimming.  I am enjoying the book I'm now reading.  A woman experiences the death of her husband from cancer, and he ends up buying a little bookstore in a coastal town.  She discovers that the bookstore is a healing place for many folks, and she starts writing little notes to insert into the books, and then other start writing their little notes.  I like books, I guess, that feature people helping other people and discover how rewarding that feels.
