5:20 a.m. - This is going to be a very, very long week.  And this past weekend was a very, very long weekend.  I just have to concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other and one day at a time.

Yesterday I got up and going early, and I did get the weeds sprayed.  Then it was off to help Shawn move some of Carrie and Tucker's house to storage.  Then it was off to Kenzie's house to take the bid that was bought for Luke.  I did go over and visit with mom and dad because I hadn't been over to visit for while.  I got home, and my intention was to watch some of the football game.  I saw the opening drive, and I saw the coaches shake hands at the end, but I fell to sleep through everything else.  I was so tired.  

The one thing I didn't get done this weekend was those dang assignments.  That's a priority for today!  And if I can get those done, maybe a quiet place to take a nap is also in order!

Sunday, September 17

8:22 a.m. - This weekend has just been a little too overwhelming.  Yesterday there were young kids and dogs in the house all day and night.  I broke out for three purposes during the day - I got in a little nap in the camper; I got the yard mowed; and I went to the card party that was apparently a wedding shower too.  I didn't get home until around 2 a.m., and then I had to sleep with dogs.  It's quiet in the house now, except the dogs are still here.  I think I may jump in the hot tub just to relax, and then I may take another nap before meeting Shawn to help him move furniture.  And then we have to take a bed to Kenzie's.  I may get a little peace and quiet by tonight sometime, but then I really need to score some assignments.  

It was great to see Ron and Mike last night, play some cards (I lost), and bullshit with each other.

Saturday, September 16

6:24 a.m. - Yesterday I did survive.  We did go to the casino.  We did lose money.  We also brought our free gift home - some 64 piece Tupperware set, and we had supper at the buffet.  After coming home, I spent a little time in the hot tub.

Today is going to be a non-quiet day.  There will be grandchildren, friends of grandchildren, granddogs....basically a circus.  I really need to get the yard mowed, but Mother Nature may not be cooperating.  That might have to get pushed back to tomorrow.

I wrote out some bills, and I hope to go for a walk this morning and drop those in the mailbox before guests begin arriving.  Tonight I'm supposed to go to a poker party with friends I went to high school with.
