5:26 a.m. - I'm sure ready to have the pain in my knee back away. I'm growing really weary and frustrated with an inability to comfortably sleep throughout the night. I toss and turn and try a million different ways to place my leg and use pillows in various ways to just get a little comfort, but nothing works for very long.
Yesterday was eventful and busy and frustrating and fun all rolled up into one. I got through the first PT appointment, but range of motion work is painful. I now have four exercises I need to do three times a day, and today I will start that effort. Then it was off to school to manage that mess the best I could. I got a few things done, but I need to go back to the office today to get some paperwork done.
After school, Amber and I went to a retirement party for Chris Gosney. It was nice seeing some of those folks and just getting out a bit. Unfortunately our evening was cut short because we needed to pick up Kollyns to spend the night. After returning home, I watched the Cubs game and played with Kollyns - Cubs beat the White Sox 10-5.
Today...the weather may impact efforts. I do need to get to the office for a bit. I also need to get the yard mowed somehow, but that is going to hurt. Tonight I'm heading to an officiating banquet in Rock Island, which will be fun.
There are only six days of school left with students, and it can't come soon enough. Of course, on a Friday afternoon, I had to have a teacher stop in and complain about how she's not supported enough, and I need to get tougher with other staff members who are rude to her. If I could just get her to stop angering those other people, they probably wouldn't be rude to her near as often.
