5:04 a.m. - Today is the day.  Let's get this left knee repaired and feeling better.  I'm supposed to be at the hospital by 6:45 a.m., and surgery is scheduled for 8:45 a.m.

Yesterday was a lot of work.  I spent a lot of time on the yard - I mowed the front and back twice, and I even got to the swamp area too.  Plus, I had to rake some grass in the back yard.  Plus I spent some time pulling weeds.  In the morning I got to mom and dad's and helped her with the air conditioning vents, some hay down from the barn loft, and I refilled the grain bin.  I also sat and had a cup of coffee with dad.  In the afternoon, Amber and I went to Hilltop and purchased some flowers.  We then planted those in the flower bed.  At about 5 p.m., the guests started arriving for the big birthday extravaganza for Karrigan and Kourtney and Darrin.  It was a full house, and we had a nice supper of tacos and enchiladas.  I wasn't going to eat much, but it was good, so I ate more than I should have.  

Let's just have a successful surgery and start the healing process.  I've got too much to do to be laid up for too long.

• schedule dentist appointment when able
• register for IHSA stuff - after May 1
• renew my teaching license can start doing it on April 1 (AA should be in as of 4/24)

• a hood light switch for the Ford
