7:23 a.m. - ALMOST....The Bears almost pulled off another miracle come-from-behind win. But they fell just short. Would I like to have them play next week...yes! Am I a satisfied fan for this season? Yes.
Earlier in the day, Amber helped me take the Escape to Slaydens for it to be checked out and get an oil change. Then we went to Bally's and had a "date day". Yes, I spent more money than I wanted, but we had a nice day together, and that's more important. Plus, I've been working a lot of games, so I had some cash to devote to the day. We ate at Bally's Buffet yesterday, and I didn't go too crazy, and I was able to avoid eating anything else during the day.
Also, I purchased some new officiating shoes yesterday - mostly for a couple of reasons. I'm going to use my current shoes as workout shoes, but also try a little bigger pair of shoes to see if they can get me through the rest of the officiating season.
Today, one of the things I hope to do is get the Escape back. I also need to visit mom and dad and check in and offer some help with barn needs. I had hoped to maybe run down to Fort Madison and see Caleb, but that may not happen. Tonight I have the college football playoff championship game to watch. Amber has some plans with a friend, so I'm not sure what I will do with that time.
