5:57 a.m. - I'm feeling a lot better this morning than yesterday morning. I was able to get a good night's sleep too. Hopefully, the rest of the week will be better.
Yesterday at school, we got through the reading pre-test, so we are nearing the end of start-up things for the school year. I've just got one more class period of essays to complete, and I hope to get that done today.
The weather today and yesterday was not early dismissal weather. I think our superintendent jumped the gun a little when he issued those last week. It was a difficult decision because of the holiday weekend. As much as it would have been inconvenient to make the decision on Monday, which was Labor Day, he probably should have waited. These weather forecasts really don't seem all that accurate until sometimes the day before. He made the decision trying to error on the side of caution, and no one can blame him for that.
Last night was a long one at Wilton. I ended up working 5 freshmen matches. THANK GOODNESS none of them went to a third set. I can't imagine how late it would have been to have all of them go to a third set.
Today is a free read Wednesday, and it's a night off from officiating so far. I think I will try to run into Milan and get my prescription, although apparently one of them is hung up on insurance issues, which doesn't make much sense to me.
