5:54 a.m. - Yesterday I was able to get the work done on the schedule, watch some football, and have some downtime. I haven't had that in a few weeks. We took the Southwell kids home in the morning, and then it was off to Shawn's to help him with removing his pool fence. I did manage to go see dad for a bit and said hi to mom before heading over there. After pool fence destruction, I came home to watch the Bears get mauled by the Chiefs. I did spend a little time in the hot tub, which was nice. Oh I forgot, I also did a little weed wacking in back half of the yard to start my day. That was good, except my trimmer seems to be having some issues that I'll have to take in to get fixed.
Last night, though, I didn't sleep. I'm dreading the news I'm going to hear from the technician that is arriving later this morning to investigate the leak problem in the pool. If the leak is coming from the bottom drain like I think it is, we've got a mess and a big bill in the future. Maybe I'll get lucky and have worried for nothing and the problem will be somewhere else. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Today, I need to finish up the presentations at school and get students started on the next set of Khan Academy Digital SAT prep exercises. And then I'm off to Beyond the Baseline for a new volleyball adventure. I'm officiating a junior high volleyball match with Morning Star Academy. The Mustangs are playing Tri-State; apparently the 5th-6th grade is at 4:30 followed by the 7th-8th grade. I haven't been to Beyond the Baseline in years, and I haven't worked junior high in awhile, and I'm working with someone I've never met. Let the adventure begin. Apparently Tri-State Christian is in Dubuque.
