4:12 p.m. - Today I mowed the yard, trimmed the yard, and weed-wacked the ditch. I'm tired, and I think I'm going to relax the rest of the day.

Something I heard yesterday seemed to wrap up recent thoughts - "survival of the fittest". This was mentioned in a story concerning businesses, but it seems to apply to people too. Perhaps as a country we have "bent the curve" enough to now adopt the philosophy of survival of the fittest. I hope we don't end up regretting this approach.
