Things that I NOW think about with the coronavirus. (5/12)
I am interested to see what the news has to say about today's numbers update. I did a double take on the number of tests reported today.
- Stats
- February 29 was the first reported positive case in Illinois.
- March 20, there were 585 reported positive cases.
- PREVIOUS
- 429,984 tested (+13,653); 77,741 positive (+1,656); 3,406 deaths (+57)
- 18.0% of all tests recorded have tested positive
- 4.3% of all positive cases recorded have died
- YESTERDAY
- 442,425 tested (+12,441); 79,007 positive (+1,266); 3,459 deaths (53)
- 17.8% of all tests recorded have tested positive
- 4.3% of all positive cases recorded have died
- TODAY
- 471,691 tested (+29,266);83,021 positive (+4,014);3,601 deaths (+142)
- 17.6% of all tests recorded have tested positive
- 4.3% of all positive cases recorded have died
- Results today showed an unusual jump in numbers tested...I wonder if the Mother's Day weekend has something to do with reporting. The percentage of deaths remains the same, but he percentage of positive cases continues a slow decline. I hope we can report 29,000 test results each day, as perhaps widespread testing is now occurring.
- YESTERDAY 517 positive; 16 deaths
