6:54 a.m. - Donald Trump was in Davenport yesterday. Apparently he was adored by a packed house at the Adler Theater, and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds welcomed him back to Iowa. And then according to local news, he visited The Machine Shed. Sometimes, I just have to shake my brain for failure to wrap my understanding at things....and then just go about my day.
The granddogs arrived last night, so we didn't have the quiet, simple, peaceful night I had hoped for. Prior to that, we went and visited Kourtney, Ava, Tucker, and Rosie. Pat's dad was also there, so we visited with him for a bit. They are all headed to visit Pat in the islands this week. In fact, their plan from the Quad Cities may have already taken off.
Today I think Amber is taking the Harrison children to the Family Museum in Bettendorf. I think I'm headed out to go see Carmen. The weather forecast looks ridiculously bad this week...won't be doing any camping; that's for sure.
Things to do for school
- contact training path presenters
- work on research paper prompt
- Write an argument in which you select an historical figure you have encountered so far in English III or U.S. History that would prove to be an effective leader for the United States in 2023. In your argument include research of relevant background information of your selected individual, as well as her/his effective leadership traits (and if you believe those traits would translate to today's modern challenges).
