6:04 a.m. - Yesterday was rough...nothing I really want to share on here, but it was rough. The day ended with Amber and I heading to the Harrisons to see their new puppy, and we had supper with them too. It was nice to visit with them, and supper was great! I had a chance to play with Luke, Brinley, and Brooklyn, and we read a couple of books together too. When we got home, I had intended on doing some yardwork, but then I noticed that there was a home volleyball game. I really wanted to go watch that - turns out maybe Amber scolding me about doing the yardwork was probably best. I did get the ditch weedwacked, and RHS was beaten badly by Mercer County. So rather than watching our team play poorly and not getting yardwork done, I got something done. It wasn't easy, though, the weeds were thick, it was hot, my safety glasses were fogging up, and I was running out of daylight. I got it done, though, and that's good. I thought about the yard getting mowed, but it really doesn't need it. Maybe I'll just be able to get it done Monday when we return from the camping weekend.
Today the temps are going to stay warm, so I think I'm going to go with shorts. The school day shouldn't be too troubling, but then I've got to go to Geneseo to do some volleyball work - work that I'm not happy with. I thought I was just helping out with a freshmen match, but now apparently I'm going to be line judging in the varsity match as well. That's the part I'm not happy with. Line judging requires the same amount of time and concentration that is required from the R2 and R1, but apparently the line judges don't deserve to be paid the same. I had agreed to help out before discovering I would be also required to be a line judge, so I agreed not to turn back the game.
Something weighing heavy on my mind is my oldest son again. He is back in jail after an incident with his mom over last weekend. I have so many thoughts swirling in my head on a consistent basis...some not to great for a parent to have to consider.

- get a "list" or examples for other podcasts for public speaking
- Week of Sept. 5 - observation/evaluation - September 8-9
- September 9 - 6th period
- How about something with SAT reading and/or writing preparation?
- need to finish lesson plan questions on evaluwise
