5:28 a.m. - Yesterday was a day that was busy and productive for others - and that's okay. Sometimes days for others just need to take place. The Southwell grandchildren arrived pretty early in the day, perhaps around 9 a.m., and then Caleb and Rosie and Tucker and Knox all played in the inflatable pool outside in the backyard for a while. It was nice to see Caleb have a chance to play with and around other kids. After the pool party, we all went inside for the rest of the day, as the summer heat and sun have definitely arrived in our little part of the Midwest. Once again, I worked on battling Caleb for a nap, and I won again. Knox and Rosie took naps too. Around 4:30, Amber took Tucker and Rosie to Tucker's game, and Carmen and I stayed back with Caleb and Knox. That went fine except I had to change Knox's diaper, and I'm not really a diaper changer. Eventually, Tyler arrived back from the project at my mom and dad's. I'll have to get over there today to check things out. Around 7:30 p.m., the Hoenigs loaded up and headed home, and about an hour later, Amber had all the Southwells in bed. Throughout the day, Carmen wasn't feeling well. I feel bad for her, and I hope she works on getting stronger, because this new pregnancy is taking a toll on her.
I think today the Southwells are eventually heading on the final leg of their babysitting tour until they all head to Florida tomorrow morning. Maybe it's Pat's mom Cathy that is watching them. Amber has some type of retirement party to go to, and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to go to that or not. I know it's hot outside; I know I need to exercise; and I know I need to call sometime and check and see if I have jury duty tomorrow. Other than that, I'm not sure what the day is going to bring.
