6:33 a.m. - Yesterday was rough on the checkbook. Throw in a pool motor and an unexpected veterinarian bill; mix that with a trip to the casino and breakfast with Amber, and you have some dents to the checking balance. At least the breakfast tasted great. I did end up getting some work done on the backyard, which was nice. I borrowed mom and dad's tractor and moves some dirt around. There still is some work that needs to be done, but I think I got as far yesterday as I could. Oh, and I was able to use the Stihl weed trimmer on the bigger grass. so once that grass dies off and we get a little rain, I'll see how it looks.
Today, I have three junior high girls basketball games, which is bad but good. I don't really want the games, but I need the money after yesterday's bruising. Maybe I can then go to some of the football game when I get back. I'm not sure what tomorrow night will be like.
So much for a day off from school yesterday. At least we got a lot done.
