5:17 a.m. - Yesterday was a busy day. I used the time before church to do get a few things done. Then I went to church, and afterwards, I went to my parents' farm to help Mom with a couple of things and to have a visit. I got some hay down, moved some sawdust, and worked on the outdoor arena a bit. I also helped her get something to the basement, but I'm not discussing that here. Wait, I know what I did before church, I wacked the weeds in the ditch, and that was no easy job. After getting home from my parents' place, I took a little soak in the hot tub and then drained it because Amber wanted it moved to the deck. That move went into the darkness, but it got done. It's not yet heated up sufficiently to use it this morning, but maybe it will be ready tonight. Moving the hot tub isn't hard; it's just a pain in the butt. Little did I know earlier in the day, but then the Southwell children arrived, as well as the grand dogs. So last night wasn't simple and quiet...actually quite the opposite. The Bears had already played Thursday, so there really wasn't much football of interest to watch. I ended up watching some Hallmark Channel and called it a night...Christmas was saved again!
This is going to be a long, long week. I hope it goes well. I think I'm going to make it to pay day on Wednesday...that's good news.
I still have not gotten the weeds in the landscaping sprayed yet because time and wind haven't worked out. I also haven't seen Chase in awhile, and I'd like to see Cole too.
