6:41 a.m. - The weather forecast is calling for a rain day. I guess I won't be mowing the yard until tomorrow. I did wake up to discover that the pool motor isn't firing up, which isn't good news. That's a priority to figure out today before the rains arrive. I also need to check on Shawn's place. Maybe I can get some reading in today.
After returning home last night for Grandma Rhonda's birthday party, I did a little work on the upcoming basketball officiating schedule. We have now picked up several games from a new assignor that works with small schools outside the Iowa Quad Cities area. I'm interested in working some schools I've never been to.
1:28 p.m. update - Rain continues...pool motor still isn't running. I did get in a little exercise, watched a DVD I purchased, and did a little reading.
